Summary from SWHL Planning Meeting
Thank you again for your attendance and input at the 2025+ SWHL Planning meeting in September. We know how valuable your time is and it was great to see all clubs represented.
As you know, prior to the Club Delegate Planning meeting, the SWHL Committee met virtually to identify and agree on 4 key focus areas most likely to strengthen delivery of a competitive, inclusive, respectful and enjoyable centralised hockey competition for women in 2025:
1. Strong Competition Base
2. Strong Clubs
3. Strong Pathways
4. Strong Governance
We then asked you to engage with your respective club members and to share this thinking as a part of planning meeting conversations.
Summary of Delegate Priorities
As a part of the planning session, following discussion of the Committee’s priorities, you identified what was most important to you for 2025.
The club priorities that you identified are included below, in order of importance to you:
1. Club identification of umpires/officials and incentives
2. Capped rate and scale for officials/umpires
3. Scheduling and deferrals
This is really useful information for the current and future SWHL Committee, it will help us focus our voluntary efforts in 2025 on your top 3 priorities.
We have included an attachment with further detail about planning and next steps for your information and look forward to seeing you all on the 25th November for the AGM, where we can provide an update on our next steps.
Kind regards
Tracy Lane
